Engine speed control 1 — accelerator pedal disable

SOPS parameter ENGINE_SPEED_CTRL1_ACC_PEDAL_DISABLE · seen in 70 SOPS files

What it controls

When engine speed control is active from the bodywork interface (a remote throttle on a crane or a set-point from a compressor), this parameter decides whether the cab accelerator pedal is ignored. Disabling the pedal prevents someone in the cab from changing the engine speed while the body operator relies on a constant speed — the safer choice for cranes and aerial platforms. Leaving the pedal active lets the driver override the body request, which some mixer and spreader applications need. The parameter belongs to the first engine speed control channel (CTRL1); vehicles with two channels have the same setting for CTRL2. Set it according to the body manufacturer's safety concept.
