Cluster language changeable by driver

What it controls

Decides whether the driver can change the language of the instrument cluster menus from the steering wheel controls, or whether the language is locked to the value in the specification. Rental fleets and vehicles used by drivers of several nationalities keep it changeable; some operators lock it so a driver cannot leave the cluster in a language the workshop does not read. After a cluster replacement the parameter is part of the specification restored to the new unit, together with the unit system and the default language. It has no influence on SDP3 or on the languages actually installed in the cluster software.
