Seat belt reminder (instrument cluster)

What it controls

Sets how the instrument cluster warns about an unfastened seat belt: the EuroNCAP-style warning with lamp and escalating sound, a lamp-only warning, or no reminder. The value follows the market and the registration date of the vehicle; a truck imported from another country or re-registered may need it aligned with local requirements, and the instrument cluster replacement procedure must restore it. Fleets sometimes ask for the sound to be removed on yard vehicles that move short distances without belts — that is a regulatory question, not a technical one, so confirm what the local inspection accepts before changing it. The same setting exists in the FLC and GMS blocks on some generations.
