Axle wear control (air processing system)
SOPS parameter LinWearCtrl_Axle · seen in 23 SOPS files
What it controls
Enables the axle wear control function in the air processing system, which distributes the brake force between axles according to the measured axle loads so that lining wear is even across the vehicle. It relies on the axle load signals from the air suspension bellows — the same signals that feed the axle load display in the cluster. On vehicles where the display is activated after delivery, this parameter is often reviewed at the same time, since both functions need the pressure sensors to be specified. Disabling it makes the brake force distribution follow the fixed factory ratio, which increases wear on the front axle of vehicles that mostly run empty.
