PTO deactivation on gear engagement (EMS)
SOPS parameter PTOGearDeac · seen in 7 SOPS files
What it controls
Engine-side setting that decides whether engaging a gear deactivates the power take-off mode of the engine management (the constant engine speed and torque strategy used while a PTO is running). Activate means the engine leaves PTO mode as soon as a gear is selected — the normal choice for stationary bodies; Deactivate keeps the PTO strategy active with a gear engaged, which mobile applications such as spreaders and sweepers need. It complements the coordinator/BWE PTO dependencies: if the BWE parameters allow driving with the PTO but this engine-side setting deactivates PTO mode, the engine speed control will drop out when the vehicle moves off.
