Gearshift comfort optimisation

SOPS parameter GearshiftComfortOptimization · seen in 18 SOPS files

What it controls

Selects the shift-quality strategy of the automated gearbox: the standard calibration balances shift speed and comfort, while the comfort-oriented strategy slows the clutch and torque transitions for smoother gear changes — appreciated on buses, coaches and delicate loads (livestock, liquids). The performance-oriented strategy shortens the torque interruption for heavy haulage and tipper work. Changing it is a common request from operators whose vehicle changed use after the first owner. The parameter works with the performance modes and with the start-gear settings; test drive after the change, since a comfort strategy on a heavily loaded vehicle can feel sluggish on gradients.
