Low-rev gear selection

SOPS parameter LowRevGearSelection · seen in 8 SOPS files

What it controls

Sets how the gearbox selects gears at low engine speed — automatically according to the shift strategy, or with a bias towards lower engine revs for fuel economy. Together with the performance modes this parameter shapes the everyday feel of the vehicle: an economy-oriented selection keeps the engine in its most efficient band but may feel lazy with a full load, while the automatic default follows the calibration of the selected mode. Operators converting a long-haul tractor into a construction or distribution vehicle often revisit it. Change it only after checking the start gear and comfort settings so the three parameters describe a coherent strategy.
